Dear Friends,

This issue of the Journal has an interesting brief report appraising the rheumatology training in India and United Kingdom (see article by Das et al. in this issue). Although both countries need to respond to their specific local requirements; it is clear that both countries can learn many things from each other (please see the two editorials in this issue). The need of the hour is pragmatism and flexibility and for encouraging and nurturing those who are interested in teaching and education in rheumatology in our country.

As you are aware, editorial board of the Journal has been organizing 2-3 workshops on “Scientific writing and Publication” for the last few years. Goyal et al. have systematically studied the impact of one such workshop (see brief report by Goyal et al.). It underscores the tremendous value of such workshops and also the widely prevalent and worrying lack of awareness regarding plagiarism and predatory journals.

Outstanding “Review” on vascular cytoprotection by Prof. Justin Mason, several important “Original articles” and interesting “Images in rheumatology” in this of the Journal underlines the ability of your Journal to attract high-quality content from across the globe.

As ever I welcome feedback or suggestions regarding any aspect of the Journal by mailing to injorheumat@gmail.com or to the postal address of the editorial office as appears below.

Best wishes.
