Dear Friends,

This issue of the journal that has several interesting articles for our readers. I must draw your attention to a very useful and informative review of vaccination requirements in our adult patients suffering from rheumatic diseases by Sharath Kumar et al. (“A practical guide to adult vaccination for patients with autoimmune inflammatory rheumatic diseases in India,” pages 160-168). A case-based review by Anupam Wakhlu et al. of some rare conditions affecting the shoulders is again a reminder for having a high index of suspicion to diagnose these challenging presentations correctly and early (“Smouldering conditions of the shoulder” Lest we forget!, pages 169-174).

The Journal's immediate and long-term goals are both a challenge and an opportunity to the entire rheumatology fraternity in India (“Publishing or perishing: For the best; for the worst!,” pages 126-127). In this context, on my team's behalf, I am pleased to share that good-quality submissions from India as well as abroad are on the rise. The visibility of the Journal has also much improved, with the online June 2017 issues being accessed more than 11,000 times!

As ever, I welcome feedback or suggestions regarding any aspect of the Journal by mailing to injorheumat@gmail.com or to the postal address of the editorial office as appears below.

Best wishes.
